片片鮮豔的花瓣，從空中緩緩飄落，使平坦如鏡的湖面，泛起一圈又一圈的漣漪，讓自然寧靜的湖面，多增添了幾分美麗。

「漣漪」這種自然的現象，其英文翻譯為「ripple」(名詞 noun)

很少只有產生一個「漣漪」，所以大多數的寫法都會加「s」，以「ripples」來表達。

正在隱居的盧勝彥大師，曾經因為過於懷念西雅圖而感到困擾，在他的文集「月光流域」一書「夢回西雅圖」文中寫道：

「修行的目的，是內在的清靜，而不是漣漪，進一步用更多的力量去降伏內心的起起伏伏，太想念西雅圖，這究竟是怎麼回事？」英譯如下：

「The goal of dharma practice is to achieve purity in the heart and mind instead of ripples, which requires application of extra efforts to calm the unsettling emotions. I was constantly thinking of Seattle. What was the matter with me?」(Translated by Padmakumara Translation Team)
