During one of my casual spiritual travels, I passed by the heavenly palaces of four great deities. To my surprise, I could hear the four great deities discussing something:

"For this year, we should create a great earthquake."

"For that year, we should create a great tsunami."

"For another year, we should create a great volcanic eruption."

"And for another year, we should create a great hurricane."

These great deities were in fact the four gods of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.

The four great deities exclaimed together:

"Be certain—...”

"Be very certain—..."

"Be very, very certain—..."

"Never reveal these secrets to Sheng-Yen Lu in the Samsara World."

What a coincidence I did learn about this! Therefore, I immediately traveled to the world of the "Mahavairocana Buddha" and asked him for the “Great Mantra for Averting Disaster": Ta-Chi-Zha-Zha-La, Ta-Chi-Lu-Lou-Li, Mo-Ho-Lu-Lo-Li, Ah-La-Mo-La, Duo-La-So-Ha.

This mantra can:

Prevent disasters from occurring.

Reduce the number of disasters occurring.

Deliver the disaster dead to rebirth.

(The Great Mantra for Averting Disaster can completely eliminate all disasters. Those who wish to save sentient beings should cultivate and chant this great mantra.)

Another time, I spiritually traveled by the palaces of the five gods of plague. Again, coincidentally, I heard the five gods of plague talking about "SARS," Foot-and-Mouth Disease," "Mad Cow Disease," "Bird Flu," and "Deng-Ge Fever"....

After learning of this, I was very astonished!

Immediately, I spiritually traveled past the three celestial mountains "Ni-Shui," "Kunlun," and "Gang Feng,” at last arriving at the Jade Pond Celestial Land.

The home of the Jade Pond Golden Mother is where the five gods of plague come from, so they are all governed by the Jade Pond Golden Mother. All of the five gods of plague have to abide by the laws and decrees of Jade Pond Golden Mother.

Jade Pond Golden Mother said, "By chanting the Golden Mother heart mantra, Om Jin-Mu Siddhi Hum, one can avoid all epidemics. And all of the gods of plague will run for their lives!”

Therefore, I sincerely hope that my holy disciples, whenever the four types of disasters occur, will chant the Great Mantra for Averting Disaster. And whenever there are any great epidemics of disease, I hope that they will chant the Golden Mother heart mantra.
