•Shakyamuni Meritorious King Dharma Ceremonies

(on the 3rd floor of the True Buddha Building, next door to the temple)

November 5 - December 17, 2003 Wednesdays 3:00 pm

Master Lian Tzi will conduct the Shakyamuni Meritorious King Dharma ceremonies every Wednesday starting November 5. Shakyamuni Buddha is the father of Buddhism and is the utmost deity for purifying negative karma. This supreme Tantric Dharma practice is very powerful-the merit from this practice can burn away thousands of karmic hindrances which have been accumulated over many, many lifetimes. If one does this dharma practice diligently, one can attain the power to understand all kinds of cause and effect which has taken place in present, past, and future lives.

•Two-Day Tantric Dharma Class - Dragon King Treasure Vase Practice / Freeing the Livestock Ceremony / Amitabha Water Homa Ceremony

December 20 & 21, 2003 Saturday & Sunday 9:30 am-5:00pm

The Lotus Light temple has organized this two-day event for the benefit of students and their friends. The "Dragon King Treasure Vase Practice" is highly valued because students receive good responses from the very wealthy Dragon King, who requested our guru, Living Buddha Lian Sheng, to transmit the practice to the True Buddha School disciples. Pray to this deity sincerely and you will receive good health and increased wealth! Many people also greatly value the practice of "Freeing the Livestock" because the merit is great and a sincere practitioner can redeem himself/herself for the wrongful acts of killing committed intentionally or unintentionally in this life and in all of his or her past lives. An Amitabha Water Homa (Offering) Ceremony will be performed on Sunday, December 21-practitioners will receive purification, removal of hindrances and disasters, and be showered with boundless blessings and auspiciousness. We will also pray for our ancestors and other spirits to receive a favorable rebirth in Amitabha's Pure Land. These two days of good tiding will help bring more peace and harmony to the human world and to the netherworld.

NOTE:Prior to the Amitabha Water Homa Ceremony, Master Lian Tzi will conduct a Golden Mother Child Initiation for disciples who have chosen to become "children" of Golden Mother. A "child" of Golden Mother receives blessings and guidance from Golden Mother in his/her life, blessings for good health and auspiciousness, and protection from disasters and evilness. Younger children of Golden Mother will be more well behaved and do better in school, and adults will have better relationships with family and associates.
